Lottie’s sire Sea Raven
Lottie’s sire is Sea Raven, who was born on 25th January 1991 and was owned and bred by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. His sire, and therefore Lottie’s grand sire was the amazing Sadlers Wells! Very posh and illustrious racing lineage has our Lottie-tots!. During his early racing career Sea Raven was partnered by Frankie Dettori and Walter Swinburn amongst other well known jockeys. Sea Raven is still alive and well today and now lives in Barbados, where last year he won the veteran racing award.
Indeed Jonathon, the Louella stud manager remembers him well as a great chap and one that is indelibly printed on his memory. He told me last year when we were down visiting the stud as we considered possible stallions for Lots that Sea Raven was the only stallion to have kicked him in all the years that he has worked at Louella! Ooops! Nevertheless Jonathon still liked him and had many good things to say about him.
